Synopsis
This story about a group of juvenile pacifist gun lovers is set in a
Midwestern mining town, which was created in Danish studios, as well as
in and around coal mines of the Ruhr region.
Heimatfilm carried out the German part of the production. His short films and his feature film debut had already won many international awards, but Thomas Vinterberg became world famous when his second feature „The Celebration” (1998) was awarded the Special Prize of the Jury in Cannes. After „It’s all about Love”, „Dear Wendy” is his fourth feature film.
