LEARNING TO DIE shoots in Hessen

LEARNING TO DIE is the current cooperation between director Christoph Hochhäusler and producer Bettina Brokemper. For his new project, Christoph Hochhäusler gathers his team around the actors Timocin Ziegler as ROBERT DEMANT, Thea Ehre as LENI MALINOWSKI and Michael Sideris as VICTOR ARTH. Filming started at the beginning of May in and around Frankfurt am Main. Filming will take place over a total of 31 days in Hesse and North Rhine-Westphalia.


LEARNING TO DIE is already the fifth collaboration between Hochhäusler and Heimatfilm after LOW PROFILE, THE CITY BELOW, DREILEBEN - EINE MINUTE DUNKEL and THE LIES OF THE VICTORS.

LEARNING TO DIE is a Heimatfilm production, in co-production with WDR (commissioning editor Frank Tönsmann) and Arte (commissioning editor Daniela Muck). Supported by Film- und Medienstiftung NRW, HessenFilm und Medien GmbH, the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media (BKM), and the German Federal Film Fund (DFFF). THE MATCH FACTORY will market the film as world sales agent.
